His value spikes if he leaves SD. I don't know why the article listed Oakland as a possibility, if he was a righty he'd be the perfect fit, but I don't see management paying a lot for a piece that isn't exactly what they're looking for.

i'd be very surprised if he came to atlanta, if only becuase they've got 3 (count 'em: francoeur, langerhans, kelly johnson) respectable OF prospects that came up last year. there's just no need for atlanta to go after him.
i think the cards will get him, but the cubbies *should* (but probably won't given their management....) go after him hard. a high OBP guy woudl flourish in their lineup. just imagine derek lee's year if there was brian giles hitting behind or in front of him instead of burnitz clogging up the lineup. >_<
