I am moving and looking to replace my computer monitor. I had a 20" but it just crapped the bed and I am looking to get another. Any ideas for a great cheap 1 or a place to go for a great deal?? I would rather not get hosed on shipping, if possible.

I would go with Newegg. I have heard decent things about TigerDirect also...but I have actually bought quite a few things from Newegg and they've always treated me well. Ebay can sometimes be cheaper obviously....but newegg is no hassle and doesn't have the risk that goes along with ebay.

I've never used anything but NewEgg and I have nothing but great things to say. Great prices, cheap shipping, quick delivery, and no hassles. Can't ask for much more than that. ;-D

another vote for newegg if you are looking for something new. if you dont mind used you could check out your local craigslist and see if there is anything for sale. i've gotten some good cheap 17" and 19" monitors off of CL.

Thanks for the help. It seems like I can get a 17" for pretty cheap. Is there anything else that I should look for?? And specs that are important?? I would go larger than that but I am moving and don't want to drop a ton of $$ into a monitor.

If you're moving, you should really consider and LCD monitor. It would make your life easier and it's pretty much the new standard. They've really come down in price.

Realistically, what is a good sized monitor?? Money is an issue here. I would rather not break the bank here but I would like something decent. I had a big 1 (21") that died so I just stuck a spare 13" in there. :-D

I am sick of squinting, though. :-°

It seemed that 17" monitors were cheap enough and big enough.

The dimensions of the monitor bay on my computer desk are:

18 3/4" H
20" - W
27" - Diag
