Well mind if I insert a big fat I told you so...
right here .. -->
I told you so
I have been complaing about this exact scenario for months and nobody gave a crap and now here it is.
The article says it is an AL OF and narrows it down to 12 possiblities
· Chicago: Podsednik,Dye, Rowand
· Anaheim: Anderson, Guerrero, Finley
· New York: Matsui, Sheffield, Williams
· Boston: Ramirez, Damon, Nixon
The interview says it is also somebody we are going to "care" about, and if you listened to the interview, he said it some what emphatically, so I have made my guesses above, and my reasonings below ..
Yankees
I can't see it bieng Matsui, he comes from a very different/strict baseball cultral, the likes of which America will never appreciate.
I can't see it bieng Williams, cus his career is over and he knows it, why ruin a good thing.
Sheff is strong possiblity, cus he is a hypocrite and been busted before.
Boston
We have yet to hear of a Boston player bieng busted at all, and I'll give them all the benefit of doubt. Since they got swept, I can't see any of them as bieng a "Name we would care about"
Angels
Vlad was worse than Arod in the playoffs, so if it was him, he got some bad drugs.
I could never see Finley doing such a thing quite honestly. and who would really care if he did get busted.
Anderson -- -- One of the effects of steriods is its healing powers and GA has been banged up all season. He had decent playoff run but not amazing, but the health benefits, and wanting to be available for the post season, is why he makes my short list.
the White Sox ...
To be honest, it would have me in stitches if it is one of these guys, It would be a perfect Irony. It would instantly de-legitimize everything they just did .. and I do mean everything. Of course baseballs worst case scenario would be Dye, cus who really cares about Rowand. Of course now there is Pods and his "Magical" gave winning homerun to think about too ... hmm ..
this cracks me up.
If you listen to the interview, its a def. One of these 12 guys here got busted, so there is no escaping it. If it is Dye or Pods OMG, I can't even imagine the backlash for the players or the fans, and I am not just talking the verbal beating they are going to get from Cubs fans. You want to talk about WS ratings? wait till next year when the Padres and Rangers are in it .... Nobody will watch ... Period!
