I've inherited the following Prospects, does anyone have any info on them? This is my first time in Dynasty League so I haven't been keeping up on Minor league prospects.
i think Capellan is your best guy.. he's closest to making a fantasy impact and has one of the filthiest fastballs around.. the knock on him is that its all he throws, but its good enough to make him a nice closer as soon as this year..
the guy many might say is Hanley Ramirez.. he's not bad, but very overrated. only hit 273 with little power, but somehow gets considered a top-tier prospect... amazing trade bait
Niemann has alot of potential if he gets healthy. he could soar in 06, but right now his stock is a little low
Anderson and Choo are ok and have some potential .. same with Santos
McGowen and Quiroz are the ones i like least.. i'm down on McGowen, i dont think his make-up is anything special.. he's another one you can probly trade with little effort
A good source of information about minor league players is Baseball America ( http://www.baseballamerica.com. Check there for info about these players.
I remember hearing that Quiroz is one of the better C candidates in the minors. Niemann was a high draft pick who has had some injury problems lately. I hope this helps alittle bit.

yea, i'd go with Duncan based on upside and tradability
Musicman - Quiroz hit for terrible avg .. and little power... still has a future, but more then a few c prospects surpassed him this year (Clement, Saltalamachia, McCann, Russell Martin, Walker, Kottaras, Montero, others)
You should check out his AZ League stats from this fall. 2nd to only Brandon Wood in HR & RBI and hitting for an AVG over .350. His AA numbers in 2005 were underwhelming, but he has been pushed hard by the Yanks who have been shopping him in trades for two years. As a 20 year old in AA, his numbers weren't horrible and he is still the Yankees #1 prospect although I'd expect if he wants to make MLB in pinstripes anytime soon he'll continue working at 1B since he's somewhat blocked at 3B.
