Sleeper Alert! Which SS had these numbers in the 2nd half?

The trick here is to try and figure out the riddle without looking up these numbers. See if you can do it and I'll post the answer tomorrow morning.

heh. eck had 8 HR on the year so 9 in hte 2nd half is out. :-)

good guess, though. mine was mark ellis (also wrong >_<)

btw, Eck slugged .436 in the 2nd half, so you're free from hat-eating today, brandnew :-)

I figure it will be someone who will surprise you so I will say JJ Hardy or Rich Aurilla

JJ Hardy seems like a good guess. He had a solid 2nd half.

Before anyone gets too hyper about half season stats, which SS had the following numbers post ASB in 2004?

293/351/540
or
290/313/535

Hardy's going to be good, but base your decision about him on a good look at ALL of his stats, not just a half season's work. Half seasons have almost no good predictive value.
