Manager: Jim Leyland (World Series championships as a manager)
Bench Coach/3rd Base Coach: Gene LaMont (Former MLB manager)
Pitching Coach: Chuck Hernandez (coming from the same job w/ TB)
Hitting Coach: Don Slaught (veteran player, but no experience as coach)
Bullpen Coach: Lloyd McClendon (former MLB manager with a "entertaining" personality at times)
Infield Coach: Rafael Belliard (veteran player, but I have no idea how much coaching experience he has if any)
First Base/Outfield/Base Running Coach: Andy Van Slyke (veteran player, but I have no idea how much coaching experience he has if any)
What's interesting in comparison to the previous staff is that other than Leyland two other members have MLB managerial experience and Chuck Hernandez has considerable experience in various coaching roles. The others don't seem to have much, if any coaching experience, though. All in all, I'm starting to think this coaching staff turned out well, but only time will tell.
