As a Mets fan...I'd love for them to do this trade.

Yeah maybe Beltran will do better in the Big Apple next season...

but it's not all about the numbers. Beltran just looked terrible at the plate this season...his swing was short and feeble and he never got around on pitches.

Age doesn't mean brittle...because if you watch the two play...you got Manny, full of emotion and always a great hitter. And you got Carlos Beltran, who just looked awful this season. Assuming this trade won't happen, he'll be batting second in our lineup next season and now forces us to go out and get a bat or two for the middle of the lineup.

I'd love to get Manny for him...
