I just dont see him getting close to this many hr's again next year I would say 35 to 40 will be tops. If that holds true he dosent rank as a high pick to me with the Avg as low as it is.
How about Sizemore? If you're going to rank based on roto, wouldn't Sizemore be way ahead of Matsui?
Depending if Toronto gets a poweful bat in the #3 spot, I would also bump up Vernon. The guy will get you 30/100 and could increase if they bring someone else in.
Someone asked earlier about how one could rate Matsui ahead of Sizemore and Andruw. Let me take a stab at that one. By looking at ALL of the stats. For example, Matsui strikes out a whole lot less than both of them, while walking as much or more. He's had 3 good years in a row, each successive one better than the one before. He's never injured. Sizemore has a world of potential and he'll be a guy that I'll be targeting, but he's only done it once.
I don't think that rating Matsui at the same level or above both of these guys is at all outlandish.
I'll chalk 2005 up as a down year for Godzilla. In a normal year, you have to bank on him hitting 30 homers, with his 100+ runs and 110+ RBI, .300 BA.
That's a very good OF, and an even more valuable CF. If you look up the stats, there actually aren't as many 100-30-100-.300 OFers as one may think, so having that solid production from CF is excellent. Sizemore's steals are valuable, but I'd probably take Matsui's bashing over Sizemore's steals.

A. Rowand (CWS - CF,RF)
K. Mench (Tex - LF,CF,RF)
W. Peña (Cin - LF,CF,RF)
J. Reed (Sea - CF)
D. DeJesús (KC - CF)
C. Patterson (ChC - CF)
L. Nix (Tex - CF)
J. Gathright (TB - CF)
C. Granderson (Det - LF,CF)
B. Wilkerson (Was - 1B,LF,CF,RF)
since this is a keeper league, don't be afraid to take a late round flyer on one or two of these guys.

No.
Two years ago he hit 31 homeruns and had an OPS of .912.
Last season Matsui hit 23 homeruns and had an OPS of .863.
