I actually took that route and bought a system with 12 games off ebay. Got it for 40 bucks. Works like a charm. I'd passed on the emulator because despite being free, I like the old controllers and just having that ole relic sitting around. :-D

I have gotten: an Atari 400 computer (1982), an Intellivision (1981) and an NES, all with stacks of cartridges - off eBay over the years. I got them all for very reasonable prices, and they all work great.

I don't know about more challenging... World 8 in Mario Bros is pretty tough. Don't think I ever beat the game without doing the trick with the turtle shell to get a ton of extra guys first. :-?

The Simpsons battle took a week off because I have a newborn to take care of now. Also when BCVG matches came up I opted to stick with only two matches at a time just so the forum didn't get flooded with "Battle" polls.

Now with this one wrapped up you can expect the BSSC to pick up the pace a little.
