It

Postby Coppermine » Tue Oct 18, 2005 11:02 am

OK, so I've been seeing these commercials this week advertising nothing other than "It." It's seriously just the letters I and T and the commercial is a guy singing the praises of "it" why saying that it can cook anything, it was developed by german engineers and japanese scientists and doesn't lose suction (which is my favorite, because it pokes fun at those ridiculous Dyson vacuum commercials with the guy who says "After 20 thousand million prototypes, I have developed a vacuum that doesn't lose suction. Of course it costs more than it would to hire a personal maid for a year).

Anyway, back to the discussion at hand, what is it? I think it has something to with eBay but I can't find a single discussion on the Internet about it. So, check out the commercials at a website made specifically for "it" and let me know what you think.

I think it's the coolest marketing gimmick, but I can't find any relevent discussion on these commercials anywhere on the Internet.

I first saw the commercial while watching the History Channel and immediately went to the website to see what all the hubbub was about... but the website didn't tell me anything (except that it's being unveiled Oct 20) and I couldn't find a discussion... I figured it was because I saw the commercial on the History Channel and really, how many dorks out there other than me watch the History Channel (come on guys, fess up).

Anyway, then I saw the commercials during the Astros/Cardinals game last night. So, this is big. Still no info online though.

I definitely remember that "it." Now when I see people on Segways I have mixed feelings of "Gee, that looks cool" and "Gee, that looks silly."

Haha, yeah me too. I see people in downtown DC riding on those things about twice a month, and I usually can't stop myself from laughing my head off.
