Gotay is garbage, I would take Grudz over him anyday. I don't know if I really want Sanders or P. Wilson here unless we can get them cheap cheap for only 1 year. I do like R. White as he isn't "too" old :-o

. I to would trade Grienke for Soriano without a second thought!

I don't really like J. Jones much either because we already have a handful of guys who can do 40/120 BB/K with a .320 OBP and I don't want to see more of those guys. Though I would take him over Sanders and P.Wilson.

Pitching - I will probably agree with JBal here as well with Byrd and Elarton as viable options but Loaiza would only be nice if we could get him cheaper than what he is going to be.

This offseason isn't really going to be a fun one to watch as there isn't much to go around and we will get the scraps from the already empty barrell. I think the year after will be more fun though, especially with the thoughts of Butler and Gordon getting some looks with the big club!

no thoughts on the submariner? Byung-Hyun Kim? :-?

He's a DJ Carrasco at worst. Could be a very good backend of the pen guy here in KC without any pressure

I wouldn't mind having Kim if the price is right, I'm assuming he would come fairly cheap but I'm not for sure. I would sign him hoping that the KC enviornment would turn him around some, low media, resonable fans, low expectations....etc. Kim could be ok but I wouldn't give him much!

Looks like trading is going to be our best bet. I would love to see Benson in KC for MacDougal. That's just me though.

don't see that happening. 1)KC can't afford it 2)Mets don't need Mac

but KC seems to be a good place for Anna :-D

That is actually a much better deal for the Royals than the Mac for Benson deal. Other than having 25 3B prospects we are really strong in young bullpen arms. Mac likely has the higher trade value between himself and Affeldt. Keep him around for a more enticing deal, maybe one of the corner OFers that Baird is having next to no luck signing.

Just get us an outfielder with a bat. Of all of the free agents, I'd put Jaque Jones on the top of the list. Jones comes to play each day and plays hard.
