I still think Leo knows what Leo wants and that is to stay in Atlanta. I think the Braves are just letting him know that he can speak to whoever he wants.

Wright was a fluke to stay healthy in Atlanta....Mazzone may be good, but unless he is some sort of mystic healer, well...
251 ks in a season stinks right?
Are you interested in joining a 28 teams dynasty league? If so, PM me.
I don't see why Leo would want to leave Atlanta in the first place, and I'm guessing he won't. However getting him would definitely spell good things for the Yanks.
I SERIOUSLY doubt this. Even though it's a possibility Leo leaves, I can't see him at all going to the Yankees over the Orioles, to join his good friend Lee Mazilli, and all the good young arms they have over there, unless Leo is THAT desperate for money to go to New York.
Honestly, I don't think he's leaving Atlanta though. I'm sure that working with Lee is tempting, but I don't see him leaving this franchise.
IMHO, this is just a NY pipedream. All that has happened is that NY is trying to talk to him. That means absolutely nothing at this point. Maybe I'll have to come back and eat crow, but I see no reason to go there. If he's good in NY, someone else will get the credit. If he's not good, he'll get the blame. Talk about a very poor situation.
Don't jump on me with the Yankees have better pitchers so I'm going to prove to you that Leo's going to come here argument. The Orioles have some pretty good to decent arms that Leo can work with.
Chen, Bedard, and Cabrera are all guys that Leo can work with to make better pitchers.
New York doesn't really have much to offer to Leo IMO besides money, or as a bargaining tool to get more money from Atlanta, or Baltimore.

There is NO ONE in the Yanks coaching core that knows the difference between a fastball and a curveball. Mazzone would get the credit simply because there is no one else with even a clue. Not that I disagree with your assessment of the likelihood, I don't. I think it is wishful thinking and that Mazzone is never going to leave Atlanta.
