Drafting pitchers? Stat stud or Winning team?

stat stud is my choice especially somebody with high k numbers.... as far as wins, if the pitchers get the numbers for you, then more than likely the wins will follow as well.... but if for some reason they do not, i always like to be a few innings short come september to spot start some "good" chances at getting the W..... i will also try to pick up the MR man that is getting alot of win chances as well that year.....

The pitcher with the better stats, 10 times out of 10. He generally will win the category battle with the lower level pitcher on a NYY or a BOS, and is much more valuable, to me.

I use potential for wins only to differentiate betwen guys with similar numbers.

I go for quality pitchers in the draft. You can never tell, because a pitcher on a good hitting team may be the unlucky guy that goes little run support. So, I draft quality, then, if I'm a little weak on wins, I might pick up someone or get some spot starts from guys to catch up in wins.

Yep. I always go for K pitchers who have shown improvement in the last few years.

I agree, sacrificing other categories for the sake of a couple extra wins isn't worth it.

Go for the stat stud. Wins a lot of times can be hit or miss. I.E. Roger Clemens.
