I read an article from a couple of days ago today about how the author would rebuild the Yankees and I started wondering if writers actually make sense anymore in their sports articles:

C- Posada
1B- Sign John Olerud
2B- Sign Furcal
3B- A-Rod
SS- Derek Jeter
RF- Manny (Acquired for Gark Sheffield)
CF- Torii Hunter (Acquired for Robinson Cano) / if not then Sign Johnny Damon
LF - Matsui
DH- Giambi

Sign B.J. Ryan for setupman
Trade Ming Wang for Zito
Get rid of Pavano to any team for no one imparticular
Bring back Bernie

Is it just me or does it seem like he randomly came up with deals to improve this team?

Obviously a blithering fool looking to fill up the paper with something someone might read to make a buck. None of that makes any sense whatsoever (save for signing Ryan) and it is not worth even debating.

would Ryan even want to set up again? I think he proved his worth as a closer. If he says he would set up, the Yanks and Sox would get into a bidding war not seen since Britney Spears put a bra she wore on eBay
