Interesting thoughts NSulham. It could be a very similar situation to how things played out in Houston when they had Lidge, Dotel, Wagner in the 7,8,9 slots (Boston's equivalent is Hansen, Timlin, Foulke). Relievers are always a good chip to have and if Boston likes a deal that they can get done at the deadline this upcoming year then they might dump Foulkes salary on someone else and move Timlin to closer with Hansen getting incrementally more pressure working in the 8th. If the Houston comparison continues to hold true at some point in the next 2 - 3 years Hansen will close for the sox. It's just an interesting comparison that I thought might work well in this situation.
