I was curious what others think of Justin's future now. I personally believe his year was side tracked per say with the plethora of physical issues he had prior to this season.
Will he come back on track to what his projections were?

I think projections heading into last seasons were out of line. It seemed that many or most people were annointing him as the next Texeria.
That said, I would still be very circumspect heading into next year. I personally would not want to roll the dice on him. If you can get him for really cheap, sure but he was such a tuted prospect that it is one of those things where there will be someone in almost every draft who is willing to take a chance on him before they should.

I was a little surprised at this as well!
My numbers for him this next year look like
.265 28hr 88-90rbi 78-80runs

well if he's gonna put up those numbers and i can grab him late I wouldn't mind starting him at 1b in an AL-only league or a deep league (16 managers +)
I read that he just decided not to have a bone spur removed, so I am wary that he may get the same type of stats next season with the lower than expected hit rate and slugging numbers. Looking at his K/BB numbers though, his approach at the plate remained in line with his majors and minors career.
If I thought he'd be healthy, I'd project .260, 30 HR, and 90 RBI.
Morneau had an off year. He was great in the minors, so I expect a huge improvement. I bet he played the whole year hurt! If he reasonbly healthy next year....
He'll undoubtably improve upon last year, and he showed he can hit in the majors, albeit briefly, early in the season and last season. Depending on how his injury related things pan out, I'd say he's a solid 1B to grab in the mid-teen rounds.
Justin will rebound nicely next season.
He has way too much talent not to. The fact that he might fall in drafts next season makes it all that much sweeter ...
