I wouldn't use saber stats as a way to evaluate a player's fantasy value. However, they are very useful for determining how talented a certain player is, and from that you can access how you think he'll do fantasy-wise.

Agreed in full, though I'm not a fan at all of saber stats, really.

While they're not directly related, DM makes a good point. A lot of the better overall players are the better fantasy players as well. There are exceptions of course (Dunn and Soriano like Hootie mentioned are two of the big ones) but *generally* the rankings will roughly translate pretty well to fantasy, but again, I wouldn't use that as my only ranking method.
