How about to the Braves for some pitching 'spects, or Marte? :-D

... stupid Eric Chavez.

Hmmm....say Francouer and Marte + some prospects? :-D I might do that deal then.. ;-)

Why Willy Mo? Cuz he will be cheap for the next few years with big time power - which is what they need (particularly out of a rightie).

Can we try to keep this to actual rumors?

Sorry, it's just difficult to sift through what's real and what's not.

Thanks. B-)

There's obviously going to be no rumors for a little while, so we're just offering up speculation as to what might be possible this offseason. ;-)

Want us to put a disclaimer for fake stuff :-D

As ironic as it may sound, I think a guy like Jose Guillen. Another guy that came to mind is Willy Mo Pena, although I'm not sure whether the Reds would be willing to part with him for 1 year of Zito. Although you would think a contract extension would be on the cards if the trade would be made so you never know. The Reds really do need pitching. Although if Griffey is traded Pena will become a full time player so this might not even be an option.

The only other right handed bat I thought of was Carlos Lee but he may be out of the A's price range, aswell as the Brewers need to keep that offense intact.

I'm interested to hear any other suggestions you guys could come up with......

I think a Zito/Guillen deal could be good for both teams. I can see Zito rebounding with good K numbers in that Stadium in DC and Guillen would be a nice compliment to Chavez in the A's lineup.
