Where are some stats on the fantasy sport industry?

Postby Cleveland Steamers » Mon Oct 10, 2005 8:00 pm

Im looking for some information on fantasy sports as a whole. Even single sport information and am having some trouble. Id really like to see how much the hobby has grown. Ive heard people saying its now over 60 millions strong but I have yet to see any reference for this. Thanks.

Didn't really read all of it, but Wikipedia is good source for everything...

From what I can tell, that number is probably closer to 15-20 million people who play. I ran a quick search and came across a couple articles that are mildly interesting on the subject...

Those two were pretty good, thanks of the help. Any more would be great and very appreciated.

I know I've said 60 million, which I did read months back, but I would have trouble citing the exact article. I know I read it, and unless that number was wrong, 60 million could be the case. I actually believe the site might have been ESPN.com, but I'm not entirely sure. If I happen to stumble upon it again, I'll provide a link.
