The Knitting Factory puts on all the best underground acts. I have a killer live CD of John Zorn w/ Naked City recorded there... mind blowing
Sage Francis is pretty awesome too:
Makeshift Patriot The flag shop was out of stock I hang myself at half mast
I really hopes he performs the stuff from Makeshift Patriot. It's a little outdated since it came out right after (and because of) 9-11, but Hey Bobby and MP are just sick.
Knitting Factory's a strange name but like Sim said the best guys in the world perform there. It's only $15 plus transportation so it's definitely a hell of a deal (to contrast, I spent $160 on a Giants Stadium Rolling Stones ticket that was much further away than I'll be in the Factory).
Now I'm hoping I can get a copy of this performance, too.

That was the inspiration for my name. I was listening to Non-Prophets and decided I wanted to do a name like that, one that usually means a specific something when heard aloud, "non-profit" in that case, but means something else entirely when seen written. I had some trouble thinking of a good one, then I was listening to Makeshift Patriot and heard half mast. Hence, Half Massed. Good song too
Got the pics from the concert (Which was off the hook, by the way.) I've gotta upload them to a computer and I'll get them tomorrow.
To anyone who has never heard of MC Squared: He completely blew me away. Give that man a Nobel Prize in beat-boxing. It was literally the most amazing beat-boxing performance I've ever seen, with no competition. I just stood there in awe, saying "how does he do that?"

I was just messing around. The name is funny.

People still do beat-boxing?
I always think of these guys when I hear the term beat-boxing:
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
The Tech N9ne concert last night was dope. Cool Nutz, Potluck, and San Quentin opened for him. He had these four fine females on stage in short Tech N9ne shorts, and tight-fitting Tech N9ne t-shirts. They were involved for a few songs, otherwise they just kind of danced in the back of the stage. However by the end Tech ended up rolling around with the hottest of them on the stage floor, if you know what I mean. It was fully clothed, but pretty funny. Yeah, he's a crazy man though.
