White Sox Fans Camp Out For Nothing Chicago Recovers From 4-Run Deficit, Beats Red Sox
CHICAGO -- Some White Sox fans who camped out overnight at U.S. Cellular Field to get tickets for the next round of the playoffs were disappointed to learn that they were in the wrong place Thursday morning.
NBC5's Lisa Tutman reported that several fans lined up to purchase tickets in case the White Sox win the series against the Red Sox and advance to the American League Championship Series.
However, White Sox officials informed the fans that the tickets were only scheduled to be sold online at noon Thursday at WhiteSox.com or Ticketmaster locations.
"I can't wait until these tickets go on sale and go on to postseason play -- World Series," said one fan who camped out.
"I'm thinking sweep, and bring on the Yankees," another fan said.
