Padres done? Peavy out...

Postby Half Massed » Wed Oct 05, 2005 12:07 am

Not only did they lose a must-win game here, Peavy fractured a rib and is out for the rest of the postseason. Do they really have any chance now? I'm thinking verryyyy slim...

Word is that Peavy hurt his ribs during the NL West Division celebration.

That's classic. Jumping around over a .500 season. Kind of reminds me of the placekicker (Gramatica), who danced around after a field goal, and was placed on the dl. Classic.

i'd really like to the padres win becasue it ould be someone different. it most lilkey wouldn't have happened even with peavy but it would have been nice even if they weren't the best playoff team.
