I'll try and get this started next week. Basic format as with the other battles I've done. Each poll will run for 48 hours. If the battle ends in a tie there will be 24 hour runoff poll.
Some possible FAQ answers
Q: Where's Homer?
A: First off I want to clarify that this battle will NOT include any of the 5 members of the Simpson family. So please don't respond with, "Hey, where's Homer?" Grampa Simpson is included since he's more secondary.
Q: Hey butthole, didn't you start a Battle of the Baseball Movies and never finish it? What makes you think we should bother with this one?
A: Yes the BBM was never finished. I just stopped, mainly because I think people were getting "battled" out, and secondly the whole best baseball movie argument had been done so many times that the battle didn't seem to have that much interest. Plus the Cafe eventually did a poll on there own. Anyway I promise to finish this one, and if I can't I'll pass it off to someone who can.
Q: Hey how come you didn't include that guy that was in that one episode where Homer did...
A: Its the battle of the secondary characters, not the obscure ones so please don't insist that Homer's half-brother Herb, or Stampey the Elephant, or Lurleen Lumpkin be included.
Q: I still don't get this whole "battle" thing. I just vote for who I like and that's it?
A: Basically, but if you wanna post some stuff on the thread that's cool too. The more stories, quotes, pics and stuff that people add, the more fun this can be.
Anyway, this should be a good time and I'm looking forward to it.
