I like the Pierre deal, even though we didn't get Furcal. Are we trading Patterson? What will happen with the outfield now?

the best news of the offseason might surprise some of you. from Cubs.com

The Cubs had designated utility player Jose Macias for assignment when they acquired reliever Bob Howry.

I heard Neifi gave Dusty better foot massages than Macias, and that's why he was let go. :-D

maybe Furcal signing with LA will end up being a good thing.


it seems Hendry has contacted the O's about Senor Tejada. Hendry loves to get creative with trades, this would be a great time to make something happen if the O's decide to move Tejada

then i wouldnt want to do it. but yeah, a package with Patterson or Walker as the centerpeice wont get it done


maybe Aramis+Guzman+Hill+Wuertz/Wellemeyer for Tejada+Mora?

no way the cubs would give up guzman and hill in a package just to upgrade there shortstop when they have cedeno already..Guzman and Hill are the Cubs top pitchers in the farm system.
