He can plan on returning all he wants, just so long as Cairo (or Soriano) is the everyday second baseman, I could care less.

Yes, we'd rather have a .240 hitter than Matsui. At least he can turn every other double play.

I'm pulling for Hernandez or Keppinger over anyone else. If that doesn't work out than I'd still prefer Kaz over Cairo. The only thing Cairo has going for him over Kaz is that he's better suited to the NY media scrutiny and unforgiving fans. All in all not too big of a deal. The only terrible news in this thread is that Yoda still hasn't found his sense of humor. :-D

So let me get this straight. You want Hernandez or Keppinger to beat out Kaz who will make $7M+ and sit on the bench? You don't think that $7M could be spent on bringing in a 'real' closer or someone who can hit, field and run better than Kaz?

No but they would be responsible for a portion of it. Some sort of a buyout. Don't you think it would've been nice to see him go? Or do you honestly think that he can help them become a championship team.
