I'm dropping Tejada because I wonder if this Palmeiro stuff will get to him (mentally), plus that team stinks, and I'd just as well take Michael Young.
I drop Santana, Pedro, Carpenter, whoever because they're pitchers.

i agree as well,,, young will probably be my #1 SS next year,,, tough to beat that BA and all around good numbers that he gives you.....and i should be able to get him about 20 picks after tejada goes as well.......
While I agree that Tejada isn't a clear-cut first rounder at this point, getting 30-100 from your shortstop is still a huge boost. My list would look something like this:
Pujols
A-Rod
Vlad (although I could see myself dropping him down further than this because he's more of an injury risk than some of these other guys)
Cabrera
Tex
Soriano (depending on what team he ends up on)
Ortiz
Tejada
Crawford
Santana
The last few are tough for me. I've decided that it's probably a good idea to take younger players, since they have less injury risk and are likely to improve, while older players are likely to decline somewhat. That's why I prefer not to put a guy like Manny or Sheff in my top 10.
