here we go, the post I've been waiting. What happen if 60 American with SuperBowl ticket living in England get on a plane to LA when the SuperBowl is in Detroit and that's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity?

I would expect the military to shoot that plane down.

If the millitary didn't shot the 9/11 planes down, I seriously doubt they'd shoot down a plane that need "emergency landing"

Should that type of thing happen now, the military would escort them to an airstrip, but no one would be allowed off the plane. Everyone would miss the game.

Oh I know soccer is huge in a lot of countries.

I just think they went significantly overboard is all.

I would hope that if this happened in the US the masterminds that came up with and took part in this plan would be punnished for wasting public resources.

If I was in a position of power in Peru I would do everything I could to make sure that these people did not get to see the game.
