Dunn has four fantasy teams. No wonder the Reds are 20-plus games out f first in the NL Central.

I like how he said he has the four teams to help him get through September, which is always a difficult month to be a Cincinnati Red. Maybe if they trade him to a contender he'll have to cut back on the fantasy football leagues. :-D

"They'll say, 'Need you to steal a base. ... Need you to hit a home run,'" said Lee, smiling at the ridiculousness of it all. "Yeah, OK, just for you, buddy."

Honor and a mild curse. Walker, an 11th-round choice in our league, never heard a peep from fantasy geekers until about six years ago. Now it isn't uncommon for fans to regularly inform him of his status on their make-believe teams.

"Better to be on a team than not, I guess," he said. "Better than them yelling, 'You didn't get drafted!'"

:-b

Good read, thanks for pointing it out ;-D

It'd be fun to be a major leaguer and have yourself on your team. If your fantasy team chokes, it's because of you. ;-D

"Andruw, stop looking so grim. Even though we lost today, we're still going to be in the playoffs. No big deal, right?"

"Yeah, I know. But I needed to belt a home run tonight to take the outright lead in my H2H league... Now I'm out of the playoffs and that stinkin #6 seed is playing in the championship!!"

I've never been an "Insider". When I created this thread a year and a half ago, it wasn't an Insider article.

Bummer, it was a good read.

Well if you had the fortune of signing up for an ESPN league this year. You could read it. They gave a years pass because they screwed up their fantasy baseball league so bad.
