Cy Young does not always go to the best pitcher statistically. See Zito over Pedro, Clemens over RJ, etc.
Santana might have been the better pitcher overall but Colon will steal a lot of votes and make it close. I still think the voters will go with Colon.

Colon was a horse for the Angels all season. He seemed to always win after Angels losses and stopped the bleeding on numerous occasions. To me, Colon won 21 games and that should be enough for him to win over Santana (although we all know that Santana is better)
But let's face it guys, sportswriters aren't fantasy baseball nerds like us and take every stat into account. All they really care about are the wins, and that truly is the only stat that matters in baseball. You won't get an argument from me how Santana's a better pitcher than Colon, but Colon got 5 more wins and was necessary for the Angels to make the playoffs...
