Last place...Help/Suggestions?

Hi all. It's daveed again and I wanted to give you an update.

Our week isn't over yet... While I am still in last, I am actually doing much better.

I've made some moves since my last post.

Dropped- Burroughs, Rauch, Cedeno
Picked up-Hillenbrand,M.Rivera (backupfor pudge),D.Lowe

Trying to ride Hillenbrand and Lowe while they are hot.

Questions: Someone dropped Kelsko recently.. I am thinking he is
too good to leave on FAs. Should I drop D.Ward or C. Everett to get him? (Or anyone else- see lineup in my prev. post)

Also thinking of dropping Bud Smith for Brett Tomko(or someone else who is hot)?

I haven't parted wtih Gagne...Kicking butt for me with all the
saves (he actually has been my highest scorer). Also waiting to
deal Percy til he starts improving (right now reserved). So I am continuing to start 6 SP and 1 closer.

Glad your team's doing better, daveed!

Klesko's still day-to-day, but I'd definitely pick him up. I'd keep Ward, and drop either the unhappy Everett (maybe your team will improve when you get rid of his poor clubhouse personality? ) or Burrell. The moves you made all look solid, although I expect Cedeno to heat up soon. Check to see how much steals arfe worth in your league; lots of h2h leagues undervalue them (compared with roto, at least) - if that's the case, don't worry about him.

I'm not sure about Tomko. I was really high on him... in '97. Could be that he's turned the corner, though. I like Smith, too, but word is he has a tired arm or shoulder, which could spell trouble for a young guy. In light of this, Tomko may make a lot of sense.

If Gagne is your top scorer, I'd be trying like crazy to deal him now (and keep in mind that I love closers). With no innings cap, you really want 7 starters, and if Gagne can earn you a nice profit, your team will really be in good shape (make sure there's no innings cap first, though ).
