Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

eee Here is one advantage in living in KC, no worry for terrorist.
You say that, but one of these days the terrorists are going to realize that high-profile targets aren't the way to shake this country. We can't protect everything, and the day they start blowing up convenience stores in Anytown, USA is the day that everyone - not just the people living in the big cities and on the coasts - start to feel their intentions.
Mark my words. One of these days, living in a mid-size urban area like Kansas City, St. Louis, Memphis, Toledo, San Antonio, Houston, or Tulsa will be much less secure feeling than it is now.

with the number of security holes everywhere, I doubt that day will come in the next 5 years.

Eh, there's really nothing here that they couldn't obtain on their own. One can get a map of virtually any place and do on-site reconaissance themselves to get pictures.
The on-street photos are pretty cool. Too bad its Mapquest. Their maps suck and their data is highly inaccurate a lot of times. Google maps is nice for the aerial imagery they have but they also use the same crappy road network as Mapquest. Google maps also doesn't project their maps with any local coordinate system thus always giving things the appearance that they're stretched out from east to west. That's why a street grid that runs diagonal to the basic cardinal directions look weirdly skewed. Terraserver offers up nice aerial images that you can download and they're projected in UTM coordinates so it doesn't look distorted. Plus with Terraserver you can toggle between aerials and USGS topo maps.
