A lot of good thoughts here. I'm glad this thread took off.

--Yeah my bad on including Reyes on my list initially. I didn't check the eligibility.

--Lopez I put on because of the 7 GP. Since he didn't qualify at 2B to start the season one would assume that 5 of those 7 games were starts thus making him eligible per Yahoo's system.

--Weeks should be interesting to watch. How's Milwaukee's infield gonna be? Weeks at 2B, Hardy at SS, Hall at 3B?

--I think the sleeper pick of Vidro isn't a bad idea. If you take him with a last-round pick what do you have to lose? Its certainly a gamble.

--Loretta might be one that could be a sleeper. His injury-plagued season this year may push him out of the minds of some manager next year and could go cheap in drafts.

where does everyone see Freel's value as a 2B next year (12-15?)? His SBs are invaluable in roto ... and he should have less time on the DL next year with his toe fixed.

I think it will depend on his playing time.

If Freel got full playing time I feel he could be a top 8 2nd basemen. With the limited playing time I figure he'll be getting though with that crowded up Cincinnati field I think he'll be somewhere around 12 or 13.

It's definitely a possibility, and in keeper leagues he may be the best bet of the bunch.

Yeah, I don't see Roberts being all-world again next year. He'll be second-tier at best, or Adrian Beltre revisited at worst. I would put the top three 2B next year as:

Soriano
Utley
Kent

However, I wouldn't be surprised to see age grab Kent while Giles returns to form making Giles the #3 2B.

What about Walker, who is turning in another quietly solid season and seems to have finally leanred to hit lefties. If you adjust for his DL time he providing .304/18. He has a long track record of performance and in my opinion the fact that he is a sure shot makes him the most attractive once you get out of the top 8 or so.
