Cobb actually did it twice, 1911, 1912, and 1921, 1922. Still looking to see if someone has done it since then.

After consulting the "Baseball Way-back machine", unless it's a more recent player with less than 117 career triples it looks like the answer is Joe DiMaggio who had 15 triples in his first 2 seasons in 1936 and 37.

I usually wait until the question is over to give the answer but it looks like AT is going crazy trying to find the answer.

Believe it or not it's Jim Rice who did it in 1977 and 1978 with 15 triples each year.

Wow, Jim Rice. I never would have found that...

I started from the top of the career triples leaders and looked at each player's career #'s to see who had back to back 15's most recently. I got to guys with 117 career triples and stopped. Most recent I found was Joe D, 2 years sooner than Paul Waner (Who was a triples machine with like 5 years in a row 26-30 I think, and did it again in 33-34.)

Great question. And yes I was losing my mind trying to get that.

Doesn't look like anybody got this one. I even tried to help but making the title a clue: "SF Treat" = Rice-a-roni :-)
