I think Hammock has catcher eligibility too, and I wouldn't be surprised if he were stealing bases at some point, with his speed.

There will be ups and downs with every player .. especially rookies.
I sense jealousy.

Good average hitter, limited in other categories. Plays anywhere, so AB's will continue to come his way.

Alex is a real nice short term pickup and has won a spot on the big club, but when everyone's healthy (big IF on this team) he'll likely be a utility player, not an everyday starter (JUST YET). Right now he's getting most of his time at 3B (Hillenbrand) while another callup, Kata, is filling in at 2B (Spivey). They currently have another do everything infielder on DL as well, Counsell, along with a healthy Carlos Baerga to get a game here or there in that crowded infield. Cintron will likely play everynight until these guys are back and somewhat frequently afterwards. He'll hit up near the top of the order as well. His best shot at regular time throughout the season, is if the D-Backs can somehow find someone dumb enough to trade foir Womack. Even then, he and Counsell will likely share the job. Spivey is probably the furthest from returning right now (4-5 weeks I think) and Cintron will likely be the "regular" 2B until then. It's also not totally out of the question that he'll play his way into an even bigger role. He's good at the plate and on the field, Brenley is very impressed with Cintron.

he now has 12 games at third, just a few more to go, figure 3B Elig this time next week ... what a great backup player .. 2B 3b SS with some pop and puts the ball in play. I'll keep him ..
