NL Cy Young

I was reading a Jayson Stark article wherehe said Clemens should be the Cy Young this year. That somehow a lower ERA is better than your Win - loss record. Granted Clemens has been lights out this year, but you can't ignore the fact that he doesn't win games. The Astros a team fighting to make the playoffs are under 500 when Clemens starts. While the Cardinals are 26-4 in games Carpenters starts. I know the Cardinals are a better offensive team. but shouldn't cy young caliber pitcher give his team the best chance to win when a takes the mound. My problem with Clemens is, he doesn't pitch deep enough into the game. HE is only averaging 6 2/3 innings per start. Just looking over his line I can see a couple of starts where he went 6 innings and left with the game tied or up or down a run. I don't know about anyone else but from my ace thats not good enough. I don't even see Clemens as second. If I had a vote Carpenter, Willis and either Pettitte or Clemens.
