Show Cano some Love

Yes, just like everyone else I was beginning to feel like Cano jumped the shark in August when he hit a paltry .207 but after putting together a .310 June and a .319 July Yankee fans (myself included) had good reason to be investing in knee pads. Well, he's back and is hitting .436 in September, with a .463 OBP and slugging .513. He's also among the Major League Leaders in Road Batting average at .322. Whoever was bashing him in the Bellhorn thread Recant!

if the average is still over .300 at the end of the month, i'll give him some props. by currently it's just a two-week hot streak.

I had thought of digging up the old thread.

28 doubles in less than 120 games 8-o 8-o 8-o 8-o 8-o 8-o

He's having a nice hot streak and a good rookie season.
Still I don't see any reason to get all that excited about him. Omar Infante has 28 doubles in 108 games.

I'm looking to get Cano cheap in my keeper league next year.

i've got him already on one of mine. and the best part is, i can wait a couple years before deciding for how long i want to lock him up since he's on my "minor league" squad. ;-D

I am not biting on this!

But I will be more than happy to admit I am wrong if Cano's performance so indiactes at the end of the season.

I'd tend to agree as at best he'll be an average-above average 2B in his prime IMO. If I were a yankee fan I'd be pretty pleased with what he's given me though.
