what do you guys see from him? i had him pegged as a sleeper this season, and after a mediocre start to the year, he went down with injuries and has only recently come back. well, now he's hitting the cover off the ball (.380 for the month and two SBs). obviously this is a hot streak, but it does show that he can hit MLB pitchers at least some of the time.
is it just a matter of it taking him a little longer (two years) to get adjusted to the bigs? or am i just being WAY to optimistic by planning to target him late (WAY late) in next year's draft?

I am personally staying away from Kaz no matter how deep the league is or how far back he falls. I have been dissappointed by Kaz two years in a row and I'm done with him, Ill let someone else draft him. And I'm not exactly fond of taking super high risk/practically no reward type players.
id say keep a close eye on him during the offseason. matsui has looked solid since coming back. if the mets cant sign soriano, i can see omar mnaya letting kaz play one more year on the mets before bringing up their 2b prospect, anderson hernandez (i think thats his name). he would be a low-tier sleeper, as in he has the talent, but i cant see him using it anytime soon.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times.... not gonna happen again Kaz. I have no faith in him and will let someone else draft him.
He's a weird guy. So much talent in Japan, yet has sucked in MLB.
Maybe I would take a chance on him again if he went to another team.
My apologies. I have a nephew named Anfernee, and I know how mad he gets when I call him Anthony. Almost as mad as I get when I think about the fact that my sister named him Anfernee.
I also expected bigger things from him than last year, but it's been pretty much a repeat of last year ... terrible performance, out for much of the season with injuries.
His recent performance is very deceiving. His BA has been good, but virtually no power, extra bases and for someone who came here with a reputation as a base stealer, another disappointment.
