I saw the kid's debut and can't remember who went yard on him with his first batter but apparently since then he's struck just about everyone else out...
Can't decide between picking up either him or Cain for tomorrow's start. I can only get one, but I wanted to post the Liriano updates...
Sep 12 The Associated Press reports Minnesota Twins P Francisco Liriano will start for SP Johan Santana Wednesday, Sept. 14.
Sep 12 With Carlos Silva aggravating a knee injury that is likely to end his season, Liriano may have an opportunity to take a regular turn in the Minnesota rotation through the end of the season. The talented lefthander, acquired from San Francisco in the A.J. Pierzynski trade in November 2003, will get a chance to show his stuff in anticipation of competing for big league rotation spot next spring.
Advice: Liriano was 3-5 with a 3.64 in 13 starts at Double-A New Britain before putting it all together at Triple-A Rochester. There he was 9-2 with a 1.78 ERA and 112 strikeouts in 91 innings. He allowed just 56 hits and 24 walks. For the Twins, he has allowed just a solo home run and struck out five in two innings of work.

This is just insult to injury. I'm 1 point behind the leader in a league where I have Johan Santana and he has Liriano. Hope the rookie drinks some of Joe Mays' koolaid before the game.
Bold Predictions:
Grady Sizemore will have more value than Jason Bay regardless of draft position
Aramis Ramirez in 155 G will hit over .300 40 HR 110 RBIs
Brian McCann will have more value than Jorge Posada regardless of draft position

I picked up Liriano for the start against DET as well. Supposedly he's got some nasty stuff, and DET ain't too scary a lineup. Worth a gamble IMO.
I am the Master. Don't question the Master. Just do what he says and be proud.
