When you have as much money as Bonds you can get by with it as he has done for many years.

There will come a day when Barry Bonds leaves baseball, and everything about the game will be the better for it.

Barry Bonds first AB - 11 pitch AB, double - 6 inches from a HR to Left Center - fan interference. He looks fine to me...

I'm considering starting him tomorrow- somebody please disclose how he looks and if his knee is holding up and if he looks physically comfortable? Also did Alou say anything about resting him and how he plans to pattern his off days.
Bold Predictions:

Grady Sizemore will have more value than Jason Bay regardless of draft position

Aramis Ramirez in 155 G will hit over .300 40 HR 110 RBIs

Brian McCann will have more value than Jorge Posada regardless of draft position

He looks fine physically but I don't know how Alou will coordinate his days off. I would definitely check everyday to see. I'll be sure to post it if we get any info on the situation out here in SF.

His bat looks fine to me so far -- although I'm basing only on the details available at Sportsline.com. His 3rd AB was a flyout to *deep* left center -- that's a HR in just about any other park, probably even RFK. So far, all 3 ABs had him hitting the ball into the OF w/ 2 being *deep* (and one being that 11-pitch getting-back-into-action season debut AB).
