Seriously, I'm becoming demoralized as a Mets fan. This has been one of the toughest weeks I remember in a long time. This game tonight against the Cards and the 10-inning Atlanta game were devastating.
Jeez, this stinks. It's a tough week to root for the "Other" New York team.
Sigh. I guess comparing this team to my expectations going into the season, I am happy. I am also already excited about next year. These are the things I am trying to think about.
This has indeed been a brutal week.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
man, i love this team to death but this has been one frustrating season...if they finish above .500 i guess i am happy overall but it's the way they got there that drives me nuts - the insane inconsistency, right from the 0-5 start through now. at times they look like a solid playoff team and then the next day they look like crap. granted there is a lot of young talent on this team but the pitching staff is a veteran staff and guys like floyd, piazza (when he's played), and beltran (bust?) were just way too inconsistent

Soriano doesn't seem likely to me because of Keppinger and Hernandez.
