I could see some so called "morally wrong or unethical" problems with being a Kamikaze.
Interesting points as I am approaching that situation now.
However, I certainly won't be pawning off (or dropping) all my players since it's a dynasty-like league. I did try to pawn off Rocket and Big Unit (even when I was in the midst of a tight dogfight), but they are special cases and are both undroppable and nearly untradeable. With just 3+ weeks left, I'll need a miracle (that probably includes Bonds' full form return!) to pull off a win now, but I still haven't dropped guys like Tracy just yet -- he's manning 3B for me most of the time after I gave up on Mora a month ago. And our keeper rule offers enough uncertainty to make guys like BJ Ryan an interesting dilemma -- we can keep everyone, except players that officially enter MLB FA.
And honestly, I'm having a hard time giving up as it is -- and ended up missing out on Matt Cain the other day partly because of this. I'll probably finish 3rd at this point w/ the top 2 likely duking it out until the last couple days of the season -- I won last year (in our midseason start for this league) in the last few days also, but neither I nor that other team will be top 2 this year.
EDIT: Man, my youthful bats are tempting me back into trying harder tonight. It's a points league, and so far, they've racked up 5 HRs and a bunch of singles and BBs for the kind of offensive production I haven't seen from my team in a long while. And I rightly benched Rocket tonight also while Politte might add a much needed cheap W for me (or stick me w/ a loss depending on what happens next right now).
