How amazing has Sabathia been lately?

Postby tribefan13 » Wed Sep 07, 2005 9:51 pm

I just wanted to point out how amazing C.C. Sabathia has been doing lately. Tonight he had 10 strike outs and pitched a complete game. Last time he pitched, he was perfect through 5 and 2/3 and went to I think htrough the 8th. He has won his last 7 starts. I think we are finally seeing C.C. at his best.

This guy and Felix Hernandez are just carrying my team. CC has been absolutely amazing. All of a sudden he is a lights out stud pitcher. I was REALLY close to dropping him. Thank God I didn't. :-°

CC is consisent -- consistently bad or consistently really good.

Good look at his game log. When he's bad, he'll be bad and he'll be bad a bunch of starts in a row.

But when he's really good, he'll be really good for a bunch of starts in row.

I'll take that over a guy who is up and down from one start to another -- because you never know whether to play him.

I benched CC for close to two months. But the last month I've played him and WOW!

I knew that fat would be good this season. I traded Konerko for him early in the year when he started out hot and Konerko was hitting like .210 and I've subsequently dropped Sabathia. Damn you Fat Man!

first complete game in more than a year for CC, wasn't it? good stuff. ;-D

i think sometimes people forget how young he actually is...only 25 which leads me to believe that he can still become a very good SP. not that he's bad, but 4.35 ERA isn't exactly sparkling.

he has pitched well in the last month or so...hopefully it will continue until the end of the season.

I hyped him up pretty good in the pre season. His final numbers will be nowhere near what I predicted but if he ends the season on a same note, he could be a nice sleeper in 06.
