They were talking on Cold Pizza about these new contacts/sunglasses that Brian Roberts wears during games. Sounded pretty interesting... they make your eyes red like an albino rat.
"'That's because the shoe and apparel giant's (Nike) new contact lenses, called MaxSight, hit optometrist offices nationwide on Monday. The lenses are meant to replace sunglasses. They are designed to filter out ultraviolet light and are said to make the ball and its surroundings appear crisper through the company's patented technology."

Another article said they would cost 20 and be for sale pretty soon. Having red eyes is could be pretty cool, but I miss those flip-up glasses the players used to use.

This is old news. I remember reading about this when Roberts was actually playing well... back in April.

I think this is more about the Amber Eyes being on sale now as opposed to professional athletes using them.
