Closer woes - Politte, German

Postby lifeform » Tue Jun 17, 2003 11:13 am

I own two closers -- C. Politte (Tor) & F. German (Det) -- who have struggled recently.

Has anyone heard anything about the job security of either of these guys?

Thanks in advance.

Lopez is pitching very well for Tor., but I think Politte will hold on to the job. German has zero security.

I think the Tigers will continue to put German out there. The season is as good as done, and they don't lose anything by giving him save opportunities for experience. I don't think Steve Sparks, Chris Spurling, or any other stiff in their bullpen will take that role.
