Marlins 3B/OF in 2006...Hermida in the mix?

I don't want to hijack the MCab at 3B thread so...what's the status of the Marlins 3B/OF situation next year?

I know Lowell is on the hook for $18 mil over the next two years, making him near impossible to trade. Does that keep Cabs in LF? I know Pierre will be available, but I doubt Encarnacion could play it. What I'm really trying to figure out is what Hermida's chances of getting a full time gig in 2006 are. I personally think he's ready, but if Florida has all this money invested in scrubs like Lowell and Encarnacion, they really can't sit them.

Regardless of what they do with Lowell, Encarnacion is a free agent and he's the current RF - the position Hermida played this last season. As such, unless he stinks up Spring Training, Hermida should be the RF next year whether Lowell is traded or not.

I think that regardless of Lowell/Encarnacion etc. The Marlins will find a way for Hermida to start in '06. He's too good to be sitting on the bench and they know that.

Hell be playing but I dont know about having a full time role and he might just get partial PT splitting time with like Encarncion, Lowell, etc. They might platoon him too, I don't know, is there a significant difference in his numbers vs. lefties than vs. righties?

hermida is too good to be platooned anywhere,,,, he should be in the RF spot next year for the marlins,,, but if for some unknown reason that he is not,,, hopefully the marlins will at least put him in AAA for more playing time,,, imo he is ready for the big leagues and should easily be the opening day starter in RF,, and he will put up some very nice numbers if he is given 550 ABs next year....

he will be a 20-20 guy fersure IF he gets 500 ABs....it seems like a no brainer to put him in RF full....he would be making the ML minimum instead of overpaying some retread broken down veteran $4m to platoon w/him...can you tell i own him at $2 for 06 ?!
