Valverde's been closing and Lyon has been terrible since coming back. I don't see him getting the job back anytime soon.

And theres less than a month left in the season with a tight race. I doubt they would give it to Lyon when he has sucked as of late and Valverde has at least been doing decent since hes got the job.

It's been Valverde's job for a while now. Lyon has NO value. He has stunk since his return.

To be honest if feels like Valverde has no value either. Arizona hasn't won many games, and when they do they win by more than 3 runs! Frustrating!!!

look for ariz to go after a real closer this winter..(bwagner ?? if philly doesn't sign him) .. jvalverde can not stay healthy for the entire year so load up on ariz relievers if they don't sign a real closer

I can't see any reason why they won't give the gig to Valverde next season. He has been fairly solid when he is healthy.
Bruney was supposed to be the closer of the future, but he still has some work to do.
