Bagwell coming back soon -- Thoughts?

Anybody think this guy can be good in the stretch run? They are saying he could be back real soon. Is he going to help any fantasy teams?

I like Bags, and it's great that he's going to play ball again, since retirement was thrown around as a possibility, but I can't imagine that he'll be much of a fantasy asset at this point.

Sure he can...if he gets Biggio/Berkman/Ensberg better pitches to hit because of his known ability, I'm all for it! ;-D

Well, the first two I don't mind anyway...I don't have Ensberg in any leagues. :,-(

First base seems so deep this year. On most of my teams I have a 1B starting at Util also. I'm not sure he's worth picking up until he shows some success.

He's worth a look-see in a deep league, but most likely there'll be better options available in a 12 teamer or less. It should take him a while to get back to speed, which is far reduced from what he used to be anyways, so for the stretch, his value isn't so great.

I have a great deal of admiration for Bags getting to the point where this can even be discussed, but I can't see how he can help any fantasy team at this point.
