I am sorry to hear about your wife ... I do hope everything works out for her, and the rest of your family. Its hard enough bieng a young family in todays society, and aparently your challanges are even greater than most. Its sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders and I am confident that everything will work out for the three of you.
As for your detractor here, I wouldn't stress on his BS to much, and I doubt you do. The guy is just an idiot who attacks everybody on here (still can't figure out why he hasn't been banned), and to be honest, he doesn't even play fantasy baseball. He just comes in here everyday and attacks people.
I think your call here is a noble one and I would love to see how much money we can raise for the Red Cross as a whole. I personally have allready given much more to the Red Cross this year than any of my money leagues pay, but that is beside the point. Unfortunatly, I don't appear to be in a situation to win money this year (first time in a long time) but I would be more than happy to help in any way possible ..
good luck knapplc
[some, kinda funny in an insulting flaming way, statements edited out]
Back to the topic, I think it's a noble cause and if I do win a league this year (3 playoff teams ) I will donate the money. I don't really need it, so I'll be more than willing to give it to a better cause.
EDIT: Oh come on...no way that was as 'flaming' or 'insulting' as 1/4 of the stuff he posts. And I don't appreciate the fact you yourself called in flaming. Isn't that flaming my post? I think a simpe 'edited' (if it even needed to be) would have sufficed.

Our guys here at the cafe are not a bunch of sweethearts, but they are certainly not sheep either.
Good luck dealing with all of the hardship in your life knapple. I will pray for you and your family. I just do not really know what your personal situation has to do with giving to charity.
I encourage everyone to give to the Red Cross and relief efforts. I also do not think that you should need a natural disaster in our own backyard before you give to charity. You should not need an excuse to give, it should be the rule and not the exception. And don't give just money, your time and effort is much more precious and those are always needed in your community.
I applaud the teams and athletes who are giving to the relief efforts but even more so when they do it without a press conference (go Big Stein ). Get Dieon Sanders off the air.
Also knapple - you do not need to pay for fantasy ball. You can play for free in public leagues or with your friends. Playing for money is gambling and you really should not do that if you don't have the coin to spare. I don't mean to come off all preachy but it's just that I know a thing or two about wagering and rule #1 is that you should never gamble if you cannot afford to lose the money. edit: I went back and reread your post and I guess this message isn't for you since you joined the pay leagues when your wife still had her job - but this is still a good message for others.
Since people seem to be touchy on the subject, may I suggest you edit the subject title to say Suggestion: rest of text here. That way it doesn't sound as much like a command as it does right now.
