NL MVP?

So who do you guys think will win the NL MVP this year. Miggy, Andruw, Lee, and Pujols are the obvious front runners. I cant see how they could not give it to Andruw. The Marlins and Cubs wont make the playoffs and the Cardinals are arguably in first because of their pitching staff. Andruw is a machine and is now leading the ML in homers and the NL in RBI. He has 18 game winning RBI's and 2 walk off homers. Hes single handedly the reason why the braves were in first. Throw in his gold glove defense and theres no way he shouldnt win it.

I'm going with Jones. Pujols has the numbers but he hasn't carried a team like Jones has with his Braves.

How can you possibly say that Pujols hasn't carried this team offensively? He and Eckstein are the only two that haven't gone down this year.

There's just a glitch. I voted for Pujols, and each of the first three selections increased from 2 to 3 votes.

The Braves are just a AAA team in an MLB uniform (with exception to some). Jones breakout year has helped them to get in position to win their division for a 14th year in a row. The main arugment for why Pujols should have won the 2002-2004 MVP's was his numbers. More RBI's and etc. Jones has 10 more rbis but Pujols does have him beat on OPS and SLG. NL East is full of teams trying to get into the playoffs, while the Central just has STL and Hou. There are four under 500 teams in th central, when theres none in the East. THe cards have been beating up on their own division (39-17) which is one of the main reasons why they are in 1st. Not the only reason, but the main reason.

BTW, I voted for Andruw and its not coming up. Pujols will win the award but only becuase the writers will cry "Bonds is out, so Pujols is a must." I still refuse to acknowledge a single piece of work that comes from St. Louis because of the biased fans and writers. I was thrilled when the Red Sox won the World Series because if they hadn't then Buck and Mccarver would have been self proclaining their broadcasting abillites and how the Cards were going to be Americans next team to root for.
