I don't think that we have had one this year and it seems like a long time since the last one. Anyone have any stats about fewer No Hitters being tossed these days? I've looked and not found anything.

Last one in the AL was in 2002.
Last one in the NL was RJ last may.

In all fairness, RJ's was a perfect game last year.

Still technically a no hitter, but better! :-D

I remember watching that game from beginning to end and being absolutely thrilled for Randy. It's not like the Braves are panty-waists in the hitting department either. When he K'd Johnny Estrada to end the game, me and my friends in the room jumped up and cheered. I think that's the last time I've heard Thom Brennamen excited and enthusiastic during a D-Backs broadcast, actually. :-?

...not to take anything away from RJ's gem BUT the lineup that night by the braves stunk...mike hampton was their 5th best hitter

I had him on one team. ;-D

First time I ever had a perfect game from any of my pitchers in all the time I've played. :-)

I was fortunate to be playing against his owner (sarcasm). He put up 72 points that night in our H2H points based league. Still won that week though.
